1973 -1980
Cemal CEBI laid the foundations of the company in a 50 m2 office in Eminonu-Tahtakale and begun to supply raw material to metal coating industry.
1990-1995
The firm built its own storage facilities in Mahmutbey, Istanbul in addition to rented facilities to increase its capacity. With the growth in the metal coating industry, AS Kimya installed 16 tanks with capacity 20 mt/each for liquid materials, focusing on acid products.
1995-2000
Acid products helped the firm to penetrate Textile, Heat Treatment, Glass, Ceramics, Surface Treatment, Galvanizing industires. With the growth of company, the firm moved to its owned headquarters in Ikitelli Industrial Zone, Istanbul. All the administrative and operational facilities/personel started operating in one location.
2000-2005
Due to the globalization and increased competition, AS Kimya diversified its business partners by participating sectoral fairs. The firm started selling products not only to the local customers but also to the international customers in neighboring and ex-Soviet (CIS) countries. The firm obtained ISO 9001:2008 certificate.
2005-2010
AS Kimya expanded its sales force and products to enter Food, Agriculture, Cosmetics, Detergents, Plastic and Packaging Industries. Asian and European countries were added to the firm’s export market network.
2015 ….
AS Kimya has not only increased the number of sectors, which it works but also offered products from different origins. The firm has continued its tradition of creating innovative solutions for customers in emerging markets.
